Species with the same letter in this column are grazed similarly throughout the year.  In most locations they can be grazed together with no adverse effects.  Those with different letters should not be planted together in mix­tures, and pure stands should be fenced separately.

Only grasses are rated.  When a legume is planted with a grass, grazing management should fit the needs of the legume.  Such management maintains stands.
