Roy Fenster is the Associate Extension Wildlife Specialist with the Animal and Range Sciences Department at Montana State University.  Roy earned a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, and his M.S. in Animal and Range Sciences at Montana State University.  Roy spent over 10 years working for farms and ranches while pursuing his education.  His experience also includes work on several wildlife research projects and habitat improvement projects.  He has also been a consultant for wildlife habitat development and contract biologist working with wildlife relations to the oil and gas industry.

Roy works with private landowners, public land managers and the general public on wildlife management issues.  His goals are to develop programs addressing the problems and opportunities associated with multi-interest involvement on public land management decisions.  He also addresses wildlife/livestock grazing issues; implements strategies to improve hunter/rancher relationships; and develops education programs to improve understanding of wildlife issues on private lands.
